Reminders You Won't Mind
Using online banking tools can help you avoid ever paying late fees again. Some credit card companies can send you a reminder when your bill is due, but banks that use online payment systems allow you to set up reminders for things like:
- When a bill will be due
- When a bill is past due
- When payments are sent and money withdrawn from your account
- When your balance hits a level you specify
You can get reminders by email, whenever you log onto your account, or by text message. (Or all three, if you want to be triple-safe.) And if you like you can set up automatic payments; payments will be made on a specific date, whether you log on and take action or not. And if that happens, you can get a reminder that the bill was paid… automatically. With reminders, out of sight does not have to mean out of mind.
